St. George, Utah is located 119 mi (192 km) northeast of Las Vegas, Nevada and is known for its unique geological formations—the red bluffs north of the city and two peaks covered in lava rock in the city center. Referred to as “Utah’s Dixie” because of its temperate year-round climate, St. George is the perfect haven for golfers —10 of Utah’s top golf courses are located here—and a great starting point for outdoor enthusiasts who want to explore the nearby Zion National Park.

With so many outdoor activities, one might not realize that St. George is also home to top spa resorts, a number of festivals and historic sites integral to the Mormon faith.

Lodging is easily found in St. George and visitors to the area will mostly find large, well-known chaisn although a few smaller hotels and motels are available.

HOTELS & MOTELS IN ST. GEORGE

West St. George Boulevard between Veterans Memorial Highway (I-15) and Highway 18 is one of St. George's largest clusters of hotels. As such, a number of businesses service the area with shops, restaurants and attractions that include Brigham Young Winter Home and St. George Art Museum. The Dixie State College and the St. George Utah Temple are also nearby. Several chain and independent hotels are in the area. Just south of St. George Boulevard on Tabernacle Street is the St. George Historic Inn, a charming "village" property with several historic buildings.

Located close to the center of St. George, a number of hotels run the length of South Bluff Street. The Best Western Abbey Inn St. George covers all the basics when it comes to booking a hotel or motel in Utah’s Dixie. Single travelers or families are sure to find the array of amenities, from free Internet to an in suite refrigerator, suitable for whatever activities they have planned.  The complimentary hot breakfast is the perfect way to start the day.Farther up South Bluff Street, the Lexington Hotel and Conference Center is equally popular with business travelers and families for its proximity to golf courses and the St. George LDS Temple.

Farther down South Bluff Street, the Quality Inn provides guests with Wi-Fi, a business center, a heated outdoor pool and continental breakfast. An obvious choice for young families, this hotel is situated close to shops, restaurants and the city sights.

Northeast of South Bluff Street, visitors will find other chain accommodations along St. George Boulevard. The Best Western Travel Inn and the Days Inn are a few of the hotels found here. The Dixie Palm Motel is nearby and provides guests with the standard motel amenities as well as Internet access, 24-hour front desk service and access to all of St. George’s popular sights and landmarks.

On the other side of Interstate 15, those looking for a place to stay in St. George will find a pocket of standard hotel chains. The Americas Best Inns St. George features 45 rooms, each equipped with the expected amenities. Situated close to a number of restaurants and the Promenade Mall, it’s also only a quick 40-minute drive to Zion National Park. Staying in this area is extremely convenient for the traveler who wants to have access to the city but also the sights surrounding the town.
